Can I still order through Choice Lunch?
No. The Star City Diner lunch program has replaced Choice Lunch.
What are the dates for Star City Diner Lunch sessions?
Lunch ordering is divided into three sessions: FALL, WINTER, SPRING.The entrees selected are served for three months until the next session
Fall Session: August 23, 2018 to November 30, 2018
Winter Session: December 3, 2017 to March 15, 2019
Spring Session; March 18, 2019 to June 14, 2019
How do I place an order?

What are the order date deadlines?
Orders need to be submitted by the following dates:
Fall Session - FRIDAY AUGUST 17th
Winter Session - WEDNESDAY NOV 29th
Spring Session - FRIDAY MARCH 15th
Can I place a last minute order or mid session?
All ordering is done is three 12 week sessions. This allows MESHSA to properly secure vendors. There is no last minute or same day ordering.
What is included with lunch?
Entree of choice
Fruit (organic when possible)
Vegetable (organic when possible)
Can we expand the menu items to include an increased amount of gluten free options or other special dietary considerations?
If the demand for these specialty items exist, we would be happy to add them to our menu. It would require a minimum order from our vendors and other schools have found this minimum difficult to meet. At this time, the menu for the fall session is set.
What about allergies?
The Safe Serve program covers allergy protocol. The Star City Diner Team will implement the program as needed for the needs of our school.
What about refunds and exchanges?
Refunds/changes are issued after the first 2 weeks of the session. No refunds after that time frame. Unfortunately refunds can not be issued due to illness.
Is my child, who is eligible to receive free or reduced priced lunch, going to order from Star City Diner?
Yes. Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch will eat at the Star City Diner. Submit paperwork with the district, and you'll be good to go. Anyone who previously qualified for Free and Reduced lunch in 2017-2018, will receive a lunch for the first 30 days while paperwork is being processed.

What about extra entrees and changing the menu?
The extra entrees are usually about 2-3 for the first couple of weeks and then the extra quantity is adjusted once the changes and adjustments are made. The Star City Diner Team can adjust the quantity ordered from the vendor at any time. They can also change the entrees offered for Winter and Spring Session.
