Mindfulness at MES
Mary Silveira is fortunate to have a mindfulness teacher (Quin Cowmey). She is currently working with TK-2. After four weeks with them, she’ll move on to grades 3-5.
Quin Cowmey is a Mindful Schools trained Mindfulness Educator and It’s Yoga Kids trained instructor. In 2013 she created a mindfulness program and began her work teaching mindfulness and yoga in a K-5 public school in Potrero Hill. For the past 3 1/2 years she has been teaching at Vallecito Elementary School, bringing mindfulness, yoga and compassion practices to students TK-5, parents and staff. It brings her joy to share tools for well-being with children and to be a catalyst in building mindful school communities.
